Q&A: PMOs

Q&A: PMOs

Does my organization need a Project Management Office (PMO)?

A PMO defines project processes and standards for your organization and can provide oversight, training, resources, and assessment across your portfolio of projects.

PMOs are especially useful if your organization regularly manages several projects at a time, wants to create efficiencies across projects, or needs to ensure that projects follow similar processes or meet specific requirements.

Many mission-driven organizations are finding some form of a PMO, from developing and implementing project workflows to coaching and training project managers to providing strategic oversight of projects, can help their organization lead more impactful projects.
