Q&A: Project Team Communications

Regardless of the format, project team communication should be intentional, transparent, and support collaboration.

We should plan for communication with our team (just as we do for other stakeholders and decision-makers), share information and progress, request input and feedback, encourage discussion, acknowledge uncertainty, and express gratitude and recognition.

Regular team meetings and individual check-ins are useful, as is posting plans and schedules, and sharing progress updates and reports.

Reminder emails ahead of deadlines and recognizing project milestones should also be part of your team communication plan.
